Join Us for DARK ROMANCES Free Screening at Beer Zombies Brewery

Tomorrow night offers a rare chance to experience something truly unique. The rarely seen Shot On Video Horror Anthology - DARK ROMANCES is coming to Beer Zombies Brewery in Las Vegas for a free screening on Saturday, May 30.

DARK ROMANCES is not your typical horror anthology. It was shot on video, originally shot for the Playboy channel in 1986, it captures a raw, gritty atmosphere with great lighting and camera work that adds to the unsettling mood of each story. Unlike polished studio productions, this anthology embraces a DIY spirit. The stories explore dark themes with a mix of romance and terror with most stories revolving around the 80's Scream Queen BRINKE STEVENS (Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Nightmare Sisters, Slumber Party Massacre) with most stories having a TALES FROM THE CRYPT twist. The film's runtime is over 3 hours so we will only be playing volume 2 (1hr 40 mins) which in my opinion is the stronger volume of the 2. This screening is a rare opportunity to see the anthology before the Blu-Ray we're putting out will be available next month.

If you've never been to Beer Zombies Brewery they offer a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that fits perfectly with the vibe of the event and films that we screen. The brewery provides a cozy setting where horror fans can gather and share their love for the genre. As usual the night kicks off at 8 PM with a pre-event party featuring Spacetoonz spinning soundtracks and tunes that set the mood for the evening followed by a set after the film where you can stick around and socialize. And, to top things off this month we've teamed up with Sliced Pizza (the only horror themed pizza place in Las Vegas) to offer cheap pizza slices ($3 for one or 2 for $5) during the event. We will also have a raffle. So, if you buy a beer just mention you're here for the screening and you'll receieve a raffle ticket. After the film we will announce the winner where you can win a blu-ray or dvd of your choice!
